About MAG

The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) was formed in 1973 to campaign for voluntary crash helmet use. Since that time MAG has broadened the scope of its activities, making MAG one of the groups campaigning on behalf of motorcyclists in the UK.

The organization is made up of 16 regions. The 16 regional Representatives form the backbone of the National Committee. These are supported by working parties with specific responsibilities (Technical, Financial, Promotional etc.). In addition to Regional Reps, County and Town Reps ensure that local members are kept informed and that their views are represented at national level. It is feared that motorcycles will eventually be banned following European harmonization of transport legislation. To combat this threat, MAG has forged links with Riders' Groups throughout Europe, notably as a founder member of the Federation of European Motorcyclists Associations (FEMA).
